Apartment in Historic Building on Maroseika

Working with an interior on the attic floor of a historic building, we faced the task of maximally preserving the authentic architectural style while organically weaving in contemporary elements.

Dominant light finishes and double-height ceiling fill the space with air, while original brickwork emphasizes textures and historical depth. The interior’s visual component is enhanced by expressive wood texture and abundant textile patterns, emphasizing spatial individuality and creating dynamism. The structural feature of walls included small protrusions along the living room perimeter, allowing décor placement. Executed in wall colors, it’s noticeable through intricate figures and chiaroscuro gradations that change depending on lighting scenarios.
